Dental Service

Since 1967, the CRME has been providing dental services to kids with one or more disabilities.

Specific approaches and techniques are used to meet their needs.

Our Expertise Regarding Kids with Disabilities

Our team of professionals has adapted resources at their disposal so that they can offer this clientele both basic and specialized dental care as comfortably as possible. Certain procedures can be administered under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation thanks to the availability of an operating room. These outpatient surgical treatments are done in a reliable, safe and comfortable manner while keeping any side effects reduced to a minimum.

Dentists and the anesthesiologist along with members of different disciplines (hygienist, dental assistant and respiratory therapist), help patients maintain and improve their autonomy regarding their oral and dental needs.

Adapted Hints and Tips

The team can give personalized instructions to make daily brushing easier. These must be adapted to the child’s age, disability and home environment.

Prioritizing Prevention

We give great priority to dental hygiene as it prevents gum disease, cavities and halitosis (bad breath). We encourage patients to develop good dental hygiene habits.
