Services - Dysphagia

The team provides third-line expertise to rehabilitation centres serving people with physical or developmental disabilities. These rehabilitation centres make referrals when a severe swallowing disorder is suspected; or to obtain second-expert consultations when the swallowing disorder is not showing any reasonable improvement, when there are questions related to the child’s medical prognosis; or to obtain recommendations for client interventions.

The multidisciplinary team provides:

  • An additional assessment and recommendations
  • Support throughout the process and with follow-ups
  • Advice and recommendations to implement in their interventions
