Neurotraumatology Program

The Neurotraumatology Program of the Centre de réadaptation Marie Enfant is intended for children and teenagers who have suffered a brain injury (craniocerebral trauma, cerebral vascular accident, tumour, meningitis, etc.). The trauma or disease occurs suddenly and after birth, and interrupts the child’s or teenager’s normal development.

The Program also receives clients who have suffered an injury to the spinal cord (medullary injury) or an serious orthopedics injuries as a result of an accident, causing serious and long-term disabilities.

It is dedicated to providing ongoing and indispensable support for the 5,000 children with locomotor or speech impairments being cared for at the Marie Enfant Rehabilitation Centre (CRME).
